SK Energy, the #2 energy shot in the $2 billion category was needing to step up their social media presence. So, they partnered with Videoo to commence a nationwide social media director in an effort to find the perfect candidate and drive awareness and engagement with the brand.

Playbook:

SK Energy partnered with Videoo to instantly crowd-source video applications for the social guru position. SK Energy encouraged job applications to record and share their video application on social channels (i.e. Tweet or post on Facebook using the hashtag #SaveSKSocial) – essentially creating a new wave of brand ambassadors. They extended the experience to other fans of the brand, who were delighted they were asked to curate videos by voting up their favorites to help discover and award five finalists flights to NYC to interview with the celebrity board (includes emmy-winning actor Hugh Jackman and 50 cent).

Results:

In 6-weeks, the organic branded social video content reached 4.7 Million people, earned 8.2 Million impressions, increased time on site +408%, lifted social referrals +267%, secured 77 video applications, and 1,720 new brand ambassadors.
